Juliet Ibrahim calls for support of Ghanaian movie industry, reveals her breakthrough story

Celebrated Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim, has recently revealed when the doors of success opened up to her.

The screen diva who was recently in an interview with Okay FM, a radio station in Ghana, talked about the particular event that opened doors for her into a successful career.

She disclosed that after being called upon to host the highly coveted Glo CAF awards, the show had opened her up to many opportunities.

Ibrahim said:

“I believe that from the moment I got the opportunity to do the CAF Awards that I hosted for Glo, it opened great doors for me.”

Like many others who have attributed their booming careers to the intervention of a supreme being, the actress noted that God was responsible for her success.

She added that referrals also served a useful purpose when one was doing the right thing. Social media was another opportunity that had been leveraged on, according to the actress.

She said:

“It is God. If you are doing something right, you get referrals. So if someone checks you out on social media and you are good at what you do, they contact you.”

Wading into the subject of supremacy between the movie industry in Nigerian and Ghana, she noted that the large population of Nigeria contributed majorly to the demand for movies, adding that Nollywood is the third largest movie industry in the world.

Ibrahim said: “You cannot compare the two countries. Nigeria has a lot of population, so the demand for movies is there. It’s always going to be there. Nollywood is the third largest movie industry in the world.”
